The lack of people of (obvious) color in this photo were an omen of things to come.  About this time secret white power hand gestures and neo-nazi pins in White House photos were being explained away as coincidences. You know, “Move along, these are not the droids you’re looking for”.  I wonder if Kelly and McMasters regret serving Trump?

I do not know anything about the qualifications of these interns and so I assume they are well qualified. However, I believe there are equally qualified people of color who would have gladly accepted a WH internship. After all, “serving the office not the man”, worked for Kelly, McMasters, Cohn, et. al., it will surely work for a just-out-of-college intern. They didn’t look for them and passed over those who applied. There are no people of color in this photo because the Trump administration do not want any people of color in it. Trump exposes the reality that whites have always been the chief beneficiaries of affirmative action unless you consider being white a merit. But wait, Trump supporters do. People of color are passed over, not hired, not promoted, not admitted, etc. because they are a person of color thousands of times more often than they are selected, promoted, admitted, etc. because they are a person of color. And Trump is in the White House because whites felt disenfranchised. Really.
