I didn’t know much about Senator Kamala Harris, Joe Biden’s pick for VP,  but I’m learning her.  So is the GOP propaganda machine.  The Trump campaign and their supporters in media haven’t decided on an attack strategy yet.  They are simultaneously calling her an extreme left wing politician and an establishment cutout.  Not surprising considering these are the same folks who doubled down on Trump’s statement that he has done more for Black people than “possibly” Abraham Lincoln” on the one hand and that Trump is a deeply religious Christian on the other.  Their schizoprenia will continue right up until the election Biden-Harris ticket.

Here are my predictions:

• Birther Part II.  A deus ex machina for people struggling with their conscience over their last Trump vote.  Convincing his followers will be easy.  They keep one foot in wild-conspiracy-land at all times anyway.  He’ll try to peel away a few independent votes by claiming that Harris is not eligible for VP.  My prediction: This will backfire.    It will just remind folks that he was wrong the first time he used the Birther “argument” to attack Obama’s legitimacy.  And some people who are questioning their beliefs about institutional racism and white privilege after’s George Floyd’s murder, will recognize the racist nature of these allegations.  Besides, she’ll produce her birth certificate and challenge him to produce his tax return.
• Get’er, Kanye.  We know West is a schill for Trump.  He’s admitted as much.  Trump hopes he’ll shear away a few Black folks from Biden.  Kanye, wearing his mentally ill so I can say anything suit will attack Kamala.  So that Trump who is about as subtle as a T-rex in a glass factory avoid the risk of alienating women should he do what he normally would.  This is not to say that Trump don’t have plenty of others to carry his message. He does.
•  Go buy me some dirt.  The first boy friend, kindergarten classmate, disgruntled fourth cousin, etc. will come out of nowhere with stories intended to put her character and integrity in doubt.  They will be old, they will be irrelevant and they will be altered but that won’t matter to Fox News. This will backfire.  We need only go back to yesterday for fully documented evidence of Trump’s shady dealings and lack of integrity. Once he opens this door he won’t be able to close it.
• From Russia, with love.  The Russian disinformation campaign has started in earnest.  They put Trump in the White House and they’ll do their best to see that he stays there.  I can spot the disinformation posts on Twitter and other social media.  The more sophisticated posts pretend to be asking an innocent question or seeking clarity but examine it closely and you can see the knife up the sleeve. They know that water can erode a stone with just one drop at a time.  And I do not believe that they draw the line at disinformation.
