Hell Yes Trump Is A Russian Agent

I can’t believe a serious journalist is still asking whether Trump is a Russian agent here.  Being charitable, I think ingeniously beginning with a question instead of a statement is probably the first line of defense in a slander, libel or defamation suit.  Less charitably, I see this as one more example of the media going to the well yet again to fetch Trump another bucketful of benefit of the doubt.

Main stream media has made many mistakes covering Trump.  Presented with a tsunami of obvious lies, anti-American hostility to freedom of the press and kindergarten-level propaganda, they do not know what to do.  And so their coverage of the story is a story in itself.  For far too long Trump’s lies were characterized as misstatements or confusion.  The White House Press Corps sat numbly

Eugenics 2020: Mass Hysterectomies at ICE Facility

The numerous  parallels between Nazi Germany and Trump’s America are frightening.  The assault on the press, the cult-like behavior of Trump supporters, the propaganda machine that includes state owned (Fox) news, use of the military to control citizens, state support of para-military vigilante groups, anti-communist fear mongering, and so on.  Even Trump’s narcissistic personality disorder invites comparisons to Hitler’s megalomania.  And now Trump’s ICE is engaging in the forced sterilization of brown and black women detained for deportation.  This is part of Trump’s program of racial purity. Witness his support for white supremacist groups, incitement of racial violence, refusal to condemn police brutality, disenfranchisement of Black voters, draconian immigration policies and bungling of the CoVID-19 epidemic that kills POC at a rate 5 times greater than whites.  But nothing tells us that we are on the cusp of a Nazi state as the forced sterilization of “undesirables”.

 

 

The Devil You Know (Trump) Or Biden?

Since Woodward’s expose Rage and The Atlantic report that Trump called our fallen and injured soldiers suckers and losers, there’s a new strategy in play among the more literate of Trump’s supporters.  I call this strategy revisionist apologetics.  Here’s the latest example courtesy of a fellow of the American Enterprise Institute.

The new strategy has two elements.  First, acknowledge Trump’s deficiencies but cast them as character flaws/personality defects.   Trump’s racism, fascism, greed, amorality, etc. are troubling but not disqualifying flaws.  For example, serial lying  is recast as a propensity for exaggeration or hyperbole.

Having tried many different ways to attack Biden, the Trump machine has apparently decided on Biden as Bolshevik.
