Again, why didn’t Mueller conclude that Trump colluded with Russia? Asking for a friend.

Hijacking of the election does not begin or end with this meeting. It begins with Trump being told of the
meeting in advance and telling Junior to take it and ends with Russia using bots both cyber and human
to:

• create a groundswell of grass roots support around a core of fervent Trumpists that took on a life
  of its own
• release the emails they hacked
• plant/hype fake news damaging to Clinton
• manipulate the vote tally just enough to give Trump an electoral college win. Partnering with Russia to
  hijack our election tightened an already tight hold Russia had on Trump in the form of dirty financial
  dealings with the Russians and evidence of compromising behavior

This is why Trump won’t release his tax returns. This is why Trump continues to float ideas (for example, a Putin/Trump cyber security team to protect our election from hacking – again, withdrawing from NATO) and to take actions that advance Putin’s agenda when logic and self-preservation dictate that he do just the opposite. Actions such as trying to lift sanctions against Russia, meeting with Kislyak the day after firing Comey, repeated public iterations of admiration and support for Putin, etc.. One can come up with various convoluted
hypotheses that connect all the dots (deep state conspiracy, alien mind control, etc.), but why engage in such tortured thinking when a simpler explanation will do? Trump partnered with Putin to trick his way into the White House and Putin has damaging, term-ending material on Trump. Why don’t we embrace
the obvious as a working hypothesis? Because no-bridge-too-far Trump denies it and he has heretoforedemonstrated such high moral fiber? Because Trump is the president no matter how he got there?Because Putin would admit hijacking the election if he did it? And, from Trump, because Putin is too
smart (certainly smarter than our intelligence agencies) to get caught?

Of course Trump would not have hired Sessions had he known he would recuse himself or Rothstein had he known he would cede investigation into Trump’s partnership (not just collusion) with Russia to hijack the election to an independent special counsel. Now Trump must either: 1) fire Sessions and Rothstein and put stooges in their place who will carry out his order to fire Mueller; 2) bully Rothstein into firing Mueller; or 3) fire Mueller himself. A series of unfortunate options. Most telling in this tale of two cities (Moscow and D.C) is the fact that Trump does not regret hiring Sessions because of the reason for his
recusal but because he (Trump) cannot control Mueller and hence cannot manipulate the outcome of the investigation. I expect Trump to fire Mueller. Not because he is just that dumb but because however fierce the backlash would be from such an act, the alternative would be much, much worse for
Trump.
To say We the People are royally screwed is an understatement of epic proportion. Trump and his cohorts wipe their armpits with our flag and spit on our constitution EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. that he remains in office. Who loses in all of this? The next generation of voters and the generation after that. Who wins? Putin and the enemies of democracy around the world.
